Homecoming 2012
The Cohutta SDA Church was sponsored by the Apison church and its pastor - Lester Coon. In 1977, a tent meeting was conducted on the corner of Red Clay Road.  In August, a new group was formed, and began Sabbath meetings at the present Coon house on Wolfe St. Four years later when Harold Kuebler was pastor of the group, they erected their present building on Mount Olivet Road.

In 2001 a twentieth-year homecoming was held, and many of the former members attended. During the ensuing 11 years, a number of additional members have joined and then transferred. Some were students who have graduated. Others were families that moved to other parts of the United States. During the first half of this period, our pastor was Jim Cox. Peter Read has served during the past five years.

We would love to make contact with as many of our previous members as possible. Perhaps this could even be a foretaste of the grand reunion, we expect to take place in heaven very soon!

If you will be able to attend our homecoming on June 2, 2012, please let us know. If you are interested in doing so, we would like to include you in our Sabbath programs for that day.
